Dr O’Connell reached out to me within a matter of minutes and started the consultation over the phone. He’s very knowledgeable in the area of anxiety and did his studies at UCLA. He was open to hearing my experience with cannabis use unlike other MDs that subscribed to the propoganda that made is illegal. Not long after our conversation my recommendation was sent to my email address. My experience which indicaMD was great and I highly recommend other use this to get the help they need.

The doctor was helpful and plant and it was a very painless process quick and easy.
Best place to go to see a doctor! Fast, friendly, professional response! No waiting with the “Evist”! Give it a try!
07/27/2017
I met with the Dr over video call and it was great! He recommended what kind of cannabis I should be taking and he was very funny and made the call fun and comfortable.
07/21/2017
The doctor was very pleasant and put me immediate at ease. I have anxiety and just getting myself to hit the button to start the call was very difficult. The previous 2 reviews did not do much to put me as ease.I won’t explain the process because they did a good job on here doing that already. The only thing i would add is that the call will be conducted over a web service called evisit and it will see weird…like you are with indicamd anymore. It is fine, it is just the service they use to conduct doctor consultations over the internet. You are still with indiacamd. Please trust me when i say there is no reason to hesitate to use this service. It by far is the quickest, easiest and least expensive way to get your recommendation. They say they don’t charge it they turn you down.It took a quick video chat for the doctor to confirm my condition (this part will vary depending on your condition..the doc will ask condition specific questions and patent specific medical history questions), ask a few question to make sure I am a healthy candidate for medical cannabis and that was that. Trust me, Give it a go.

What are Proposition 215 (Prop 215), the Compassionate Use Act of 1996, and Senate Bill (SB) 420?
The Prop 215 is another term for the Compassionate Use Act of 1996. Prop 215 was the first state-wide medical marijuana plan to be successfully voted into an official law in the United States. Prop 215 provides protection to chronically ill individuals who have their physician’s recommendation to use marijuana for medical purposes.
The law also provides protection to primary caregivers who are responsible for the patient’s housing, security and health, under SB 420 (Chapter 875, Statutes of 2003).
SB 420 has been enacted into the Health and Safety Code of California (Sections 11362.7 through 11362.83) to address issues with Prop 215.
SB 420 requires the California Department of Health Services to create the Medical Marijuana Program (MMP). The state MMP is responsible for creating and maintaining an online registry and verification system for Medical Marijuana Identification Cards.
The intent of SB 420 is to create a separate identify for qualified patients, and to help law enforcements as well. The online registry allows law enforcement to verify that a MMIC is valid.
To learn more, feel free to visit the State MMP’s home page.
MMIP Card Benefits
- Protection law enforcements for medical marijuana storage, transpiration, and use in California.
- No sales taxes on medical marijuana
- Protect your personal marijuana cultivation from law enforcements
What is the Medical Marijuana Program (MMP) and what
does it do?
The California Department of Health Services (CDHS) maintains the State’s MMP according to SB 420. Each county is held responsible for implementing their own Medical Marijuana Program. The county of Los Angeles has named their program: Medical Marijuana ID Program (MMIP). The State’s MMP developed the “Medical Marijuana Identification Card” or “MMIC” and operates online to verify these MMICs.NOTICE TO CONSUMERS: The Compassionate Use Act of 1996 ensures that seriously ill Californians have the right to obtain and use cannabis for medical purposes where medical use is deemed appropriate and has been recommended by a physician who has determined that the persons health would benefit from the use of medical cannabis. Recommendations must come from an attending physician as defined in Section 11362.7 of the Health and Safety Code. Cannabis is a Schedule I drug according to the federal Controlled Substances Act. Activity related to cannabis use is subject to federal prosecution, regardless of the protections provided by state law.
What information will appear on the MMIC?
- A unique user ID number for the cardholder
- Date of expiration of the IDName and phone number of the county program that has
approved the application - Internet address used for verifying the validity of the MMIC
- Photo ID of the cardholderPatient” or “Primary Caregiver” to specify the cardholder’s position
